HYPO Thyroidism Further inforamtion and a few words about HYPER form of it.. . . .

Hypothyroidism occurs when the Thyroid gland has been weakened by Poor Nutrition, Thyroid Toxicity, Bad lifestyle, Stress, and too much Medical 'help' (medications). A victim of hypothyroidism has a body that can no longer adequately produce vital hormones. The Immune system only Attacks things it detects as being TOXIC (…).

Hypothyroidism is an underactive Thyroid condition, often marked by Low Iodine levels.

Fatigue, numbness or tingling in the hands, brittle nails, coarse,  brittle hair, hair loss, headaches, poor short-term memory, anxiety or panic attacks, low blood pressure, depression, low libido, pale, dry or coarse skin, high cholesterol, puffy eyes, dry eyes, blurry vision, frequent respiratory infection, decreased perspiration, poor skin tone, tingling hands, sensitivity to cold, unexplained weight gain, constipation, hair loss, puffy eyelids, low body temperature (quite cold hands and feet), wounds that are slow to heal, infertility, goitre, rheumatic pain, emotional disorders, allergies, missing the lower portion of eyebrows, poor sleep, flu-like symptoms, hoarseness, hypersensitivity, and fluid retention are all possible indicators that Thyroid secretions may be Low.

The Thyroid is Weakened/ suppressed also by the following.
1. Poor Nutrition, Thyroid Toxicity, Bad lifestyle, Stress, and too much Medical 'help' (medications)… Cooking on Refined oils (frying on them), junk food, soft drinks, Sugar consumption - All that will take its Toll on POOR Thyroid Health.

2. Constant intake of SOY.. an ingredient in the great majority of processed foods and even in most of the so-called healthy alternatives. Thus ALL soy-containing products and oils Should be avoided (even by a Healthy person).

3. FLUORIDE.. is extremely Damaging to the Thyroid. Until the 1970's, doctors prescribed fluoride to patients with hyperthyroidism (an over-active thyroid) to cripple it. It was shown to be effective at 2 mg. per day. People in the present are estimated to consume 2-10 mg. per day from tap water, Non-stick cookware, Toothpaste, Pharmaceuticals, Infant formula, Processed cereals, and Sodas.

4. Be mindful of GOITROGENS, foods that can Interfere (influence) with Thyroid function. Goitrogens include Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Kale, Kohlrabi, Rutabaga, Turnips, Millet, Spinach, Strawberries, Peaches, Watercress, Peanuts, Radishes, and SOYbeans. Does it mean that you can never eat these foods? No, because COOKING Inactivates (makes them Not active) Goitrogenic compounds. But Still, add those foods in Very Moderations to your meals in their Raw form (I am talking about Vegetables and greens here) because they are very healthy (1-2 tablespoons per meal will be ok). Avoid Soy products anyway (!)

5. MEAT and MILK.. If you are a Meat eater and giving up meat sounds like something impossible for you, then the ONLY option you have here is to consume Meat which you know on 100% produced WITHOUT hormones of ANY sort (!!!).. Ok, see, you Already could have dysfunction of Thyroid hormones, and ANY other hormones entering your body will CONTRIBUTE to Further dysfunctioning of it (!).. Am I logical here?... Almost All conventional meat (animals) are grown with a ‘help’ of hormones just to bring them to your table Faster. So you either eat 100% healthy meats or do not eat it at all (I do not eat meat for about 2 years and Still able to walk and think, so will you). Obviously, Cured meat and sausages as a Big Nah….. Milk.. the same story. Mik is from cows which could be given hormones Plus it is Heated and homogenized (which means dangerous).. so either drink milk in very very moderations and Raw (plus the one from the cows which were Not given hormones) or ideally give it up completely. Go for Nut milks which u can make Home (sesame seeds (til), almonds, walnuts, coconut pulp, sunflower seeds..).

6. Certain DRUGS (medication) also contribute to this problem: lithium, all S.S.R.I. anti-depressant drugs (which feature fluoride as a main ingredient) and others.

There is a simple test called 'the Barnes Basal Temperature' Test to check Thyroid function. Refrain from drinking alcohol that night. Before bed, shake down a Thermometer and place it by your bed. In the morning, put the thermometer firmly in the armpit(under arm) and rest for 10 minutes. A regular resting reading will be 97.8 F. (37 degrees C). Repeat this the Next day. If it is lower, suspect an underactive thyroid. Women should do this after their menses is complete, as temperature levels fluctuate more during this time.

Diagnosing Thyroid Disorders..

If your doctor suspects a thyroid disorder, a blood test can help provide an answer. This test measures the level of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), a master hormone that regulates the work of the thyroid gland. If TSH is high, it typically means your thyroid function is too low (hypothyroid). If TSH is low, it generally means the thyroid is overactive (hyperthyroid.) Your doctor may also check levels of other thyroid hormones in your blood. Imaging studies and biopsies are sometimes taken to evaluate a thyroid abnormality.

(DI)*..Here (where I am from), that Expanded blood test consists of: 1) thyroid hormones (2 of them, the ones which are produced by the thyroid itself), 2) Hypothalamus and Pituitary gland (body) hormones!!... those two produce Hormones which are In Control of Thyroid - so they should be checked too!! 3) Cholesterol levels (here we got 3 options of them and u need to ask for 'wider' results), 4) Atherogenic ratio (rate)! Take Notes..

HYPERthyroidism occurs when an excess of thyroid hormones causes one’s metabolism is racing out of control. Symptoms likely to occur are heart pounding, high blood pressure, feeling flushed, sweating, weight loss and overheated, inability for the eyes to focus, insomnia, nervousness, heart racing, abnormally frequent bowels, anxiety, and diarrhoea. This chemical imbalance can lead to heart failure If Untreated. In Asian medicine, Hyperthyroidism may involve a fluid deficiency in the body.

Personal Notes:

You can also follow those dietary recommendations if you have HYPER thyroid.

The Healthy diet for Thyroid, diet for autoimmune disease diet (with Dr. Joel Fuhrman, M.D), Superfood which will Help to cure/improve HYPOthyroid (plus that superfood is Beneficial for women with Menopause (!!)) will be also given today.

Further articles could be a bit repetitive but.. it will help you to memorise it all Better. ... It is just if I add all that info in here at ones.. the post will be very long.

If I cannot make to cover the HYPER thyroid issue, then I will do it very shortly. But the BASE for two of them are the Same. Avoiding particular food, Adding others, Healthy eating, Positive thinking, hoping for the Best, and being in touch with a Doc (in some cases, Medications could be Necessary!.. so you Do need to discuss it all with a doc or even several of them!). In some cases, if the Thyroid is Really out of Control, you will Not survive just on vegetables. So Be WISE. Ok?..
