The ways of saints cannot be predicted, they use all sorts to cure devotees of their sickness which are unconventional even by traditional or modern standards. In Sai Satcharitra Chaper XII Sai Baba said "Those who are fortunate and whose demerits have vanished; take to My worship. If you always say 'Sai, Sai' I shall take you over the seven seas; believe in these words, and you will be certainly benefited. I do not need any paraphernalia of worship – either eight-fold or sixteen-fold. I rest there where there is full devotion". Here we see one more such case of unconventional treatment given by Sai Baba after His Mahasamadi
Smt Mani Sahukar author of the book The Saint of Shirdi had a severe throat infection in 1950. Being a sincere student of Hindustani classical songs, she was unable to sing due to her throat infection. She consulted many doctors but in vain. She then visited Shirdi and prayed at SAI SAMADHI for the cure of her sore throat. When she returned to her room behind Gurusthan at about 7.30pm, she heard something rustling in her sari and a small paper packet dropped on the floor. Wondering what it could be, she picked it up and opened it and guess what she found. No, not udhi but seven tiny white globules commonly used in homeopathy. Her friend on hearing this from Mrs Sahukar, told her to take those tablets as SAI prasad which the latter did by putting them all in her mouth. On her return home from Shirdi, Mrs. Sahukar found to her immense joy that her throat was clear and she could sing as before. Wow! What a miracle.
