Embrace of the Serpent - The Colombian entry for Best Foreign Language Film. This one has been getting unanimous great reviews.
Hail Ceasar - Latest Coen Brothers. Nuff Said.
The Witch - This looks to be a brooding period horror piece.
Triple 9 - The latest by John Hillcoat (The Proposition & The Road) is a crime thriller with a killer cast.
The Lobster - The latest from Yorgos Lanthimos. Probably not for everyone but almost guaranteed to be unique as anyone who saw Dogtooth can attest.
Knight of Cups - Latest Terrence Malick. Nuff said.
Midnight Special - Jeff Nichols and Michael Shannon have made three out of three minor classics together. Seeing them do their spin on sci-fi should be very interesting.
Louder Than Bombs - The English language debut of director Joachim Trier whose two previous films, Oslo August 31st and Reprise, were both great.
Everybody Wants Some - The latest Richard Linklater, who has been on a roll for seemingly forever, should do for the 80s what his Dazed and Confused did for the 70s.
Green Room - A punk band vs a bunch of skinheads from the director of Blue Ruin. This one has a serious buzz. Let's hope it's as good as it sounds.
De Palma - A documentary about Brian De Palma seeing the director be interviewed by co-director Noah Baumbach.
Captain America: Civil War - The first two Captain America movies were both lots of fun and the introduction of this classic story line along with new heroes like Black Panther and Spiderman should make this a winner.
High-Rise - An adaptation of a J.G. Ballard novel by Ben Wheatley (Down Terrace, Kill List & Sightseers) starring Tom Hiddleston and Jeremy Irons. What's not to like?
Finding Dory - A Pixar sequel to one of their all-time classics. This could go either way but let's hope it's more Inside Out than The Good Dinosaur.
La La Land - A musical comedy from the director of Whiplash and starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. Ambitious and intriguing.
Dr. Strange - The introduction of a classic Marvel character, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, as well as the magic realm into the MCU. Fingers crossed.
Moana - Disney animation has been on a roll with Wreck-It-Ralph,Frozen and Big Hero 6 and this Polynesian Adventure looks like it might continue the streak.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - The first Star Wars Spin-Off film set before Episode IV featuring a killer cast and the return of Darth Vader.
Passengers - A sci-fi flick with Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt and Michael Sheen, directed by Morten Tyldum whose Headhunters was a little gem.
Story of Your Life - Latest Denis Villeneuve who has been on a winning streak with last five films (Polytechnique, Incendies, Enemy, Prisoners and Sicario).
Silence - Latest Martin Scorsese. Nuff said.
